📱 FunnyPad: a tablet or a phone as a scoring keypad
€0 · nothing to install on the deviceFunnyPad is a web page served by the board’s PC. Put an old tablet on a stand near the throwing area: each player enters their darts in two taps (Single, Double or Treble, then the number). Big buttons, vibration, “received by FunnyDarts” confirmation.
- On the board: Configuration → Autoscoring → 📱 FunnyPad, then Enable FunnyPad.
- A QR code appears: scan it with the camera of the tablet or phone, connected to the same Wi-Fi as the board PC.
- Start a game: off you go!
FunnyPad works without Internet, only between your devices. When it is selected, the cameras pause. From the phone, only the scoring keypad is available: never the settings or your players. If your router separates Wi-Fi from cable (“guest” Wi-Fi), connect the phone to the main Wi-Fi or let the board’s PC create a Wi-Fi network (Windows mobile hotspot).
👁️ FunnyEye: camera autoscoring
a few tens of € · the main modeWith 2 to 4 USB cameras around a traditional board (3 recommended), FunnyDarts detects the darts by itself thanks to its own detection engine, free and built with open-source software. Automatic calibration with two taps per camera, automatic realignment if the board gets knocked, “Day” and “Night” engines depending on the lighting.
A dart on the floor? The big “✖ Miss” button; a mistake? “✏️ Correct”, with one tap on the screen.
📶 FunnyLink: your Bluetooth electronic board
€0 · a Bluetooth 5.0 dongle (~€12) if the PC has noneYour store-bought Bluetooth electronic board keeps score, and FunnyDarts receives every dart wirelessly: every FunnyDarts game, on your board. A known board works straight away; any other is learned in a few throws: you throw, FunnyDarts suggests the segment, you correct it if needed.
- On the board: Configuration → Autoscoring → 📶 FunnyLink.
- Switch the board on, tap 🔍 Find my board then 📶 Connect: it reconnects by itself at every launch.
- Start a game: off you go!
🎥 Scene and zoom: your atmosphere cameras
on top of any mode · USB webcam or Wi-Fi cameraTwo extra cameras, just for the show (detection doesn’t need them):
- 🎥 The scene camera films the players: a “Live” card during games, and the players’ photos on the souvenir cards. Tip: a USB webcam.
- 🔍 The zoom camera points at the board: a “Board zoom” card during games. Tip: a small Wi-Fi camera if USB is not possible.
A Wi-Fi camera is chosen by its address, or FunnyDarts finds it by itself. Rotation 0°, 90°, 180° or 270° depending on how it is mounted. The small ESP32 cameras sold in shops (ESP32-CAM, ESP32-S3-CAM) can be programmed in one click from FunnyDarts (Settings → System → 🧰 Tools), with nothing else to install.
⚠️ These modules are usually sold without a cable: get a USB cable that carries data, not just power. And fix their lens firmly: it only hangs by its ribbon cable, and the slightest vibration makes the picture useless.
